Lovely salon - stylish and up to date, but very relaxed and not trendier-than-thou! I had a warm welcome, and a short wait for my stylist Katie who was incredibly attentive. She listened carefully to what I wanted in a cut, and gave me top class service. A super relaxing wash and head massage, and a really excellent, skilful cut which suited my face shape and made me feel a lot younger. Result! So much so that I had compliments from other stylists and customers as I left! I will now consider myself a regular. Thank you Flint for a great experience.
I had such a positive experience with Katie at Flint and I’m absolutely delighted with my hair. From my initial consultation right through to the finished result, Katie was professional, patient and took such great care with my hair. My existing colour was quite difficult to lift, so Katie carried out a strand test beforehand and was very honest about what could safely be achieved without compromising the condition of my hair. On the day, she took her time through every stage of the process and I never felt that anything was being rushed. The appointment took several hours, but Katie was attentive throughout and really listened to what I wanted. She managed to soften my previous colour and create a beautiful lighter, dimensional brown while still keeping my hair looking healthy and natural. I’m so pleased with the result and really appreciate the care and attention Katie gave me from start to finish. I would happily recommend her and will definitely be returning. Thank you, Katie!

Arabella who did my hair was absolutely fabulous and just so kind, she did an amazing job at my hair which I had previously botched and made me feel so comfortable and welcomed at the salon. After not having had my haircut professionally in a few years and not having been into a proper salon since I was little, everyone there made the experience so calm and relaxed. Also Tristan was the best when I had phoned up expressing my concerns with visiting the salon and how comfortable I would be (due to being plus size) and he was just so kind and welcoming and made sure I was all good. Overall I had an amazing experience at flinch and they truly the best. Thank you so much, I love my new hair!

Evie cut my hair last week for the second time ever, and I got a day return to Norwich on the hottest day of the year. By the time I got home I had taken six trains, made four changes, suffered delays, broken air-conditioning etc... Why put myself through this hell? Well it's because I had a drastic change of hairstyle in 2024 - thanks to medical treatment I went from longer hair for many years to a crop. I also stopped colouring it and embraced life as a silver fox. I now love having short hair. The first cut Evie did was the best one I'd had since my hair went short, despite it being the first time she had ever cut my hair. Was the journey this time worth it? YES!! The second one is even better! It's great... thank you Evie. Excellent work 👌
After not being to a hairdressers in years, I decided it was time to sort my hair out. Evie was recommended by a friend so I decided to book in. I’ve now had maybe over 5 appointments with Evie and she is amazing! Not only is Evie great at what she does, she is so easy to talk to and very patient ( I never know what I want done with my hair). Would highly recommend and she’s super cool!!

Evie cut my hair today. She's lovely and was patient with me - I know I am not good at explaining what I want, having had the same cut for years, then a radical change to short hair after illness. I find getting my hair cut quite stressful in general, particularly somewhere new, but Flint has a nice atmosphere and lots of natural light, so that was helpful. This is a really good, really well-executed cut, the shape is very precise, and it is spot on, though it seemed effortless. Very talented young stylist. Thank you Evie 🙂

Evie was absolutely amazing with Arlo; it was his first time at the hairdresser's(!), and it was a big decision to cut his long hair short. She took plenty of time to discuss the cut, and she was so sweet, talking him through every stage of the process. He left looking and feeling great and loves his new hairstyle.

After almost thirty years with the same stylist, and a too short, post lock down haircut, I thought it was time for a change. So with some trepidation I booked an appoitnment with Connor at Flint. From the moment Tris swept me into the salon (even more warm and effusive in person than he is on the phone) I knew I had made the right decision. The atmosphere at the salon is welcoming and the building stunning. Connor took time to talk to me and to get a feel for my hair and my style goals, putting me at ease. Then followed an exquisite hair wash in a chair that didn't make my neck ache by a lovely young woman who's name I didn't catch. As Connor cut my hair he consider the way in which my hair falls, working with it rather than forcing change upon it. I felt as though each cut was thought threw and the style shaped as a whole rather than section by section. The outcome? Well, I'm thrilled!! Small changes have lifted my hair from something adequate to a style that just swings into place, even after a restless night's sleep. It flatters by face, opens up my features and even the colour (I'm growing that out too) looks better. To say that Connor exceeded my expectations is not an exageration and I'm already looking forward to my next visit in December. Thank you Flint!

Had my hair cut by apprentice Evie today and WOW. I hate having my hair cut and often result to hacking at it myself but I thought I’d bite the bullet and get it done. From start to finish Evie was a dream, being an apprentice I was apprehensive but I was thrilled with the results. I haven’t had such a good experience even with fully qualified hairdressers. After trying a few places around Norwich, I stumbled upon Flint and I can say that it is the most fabulous salon in the city. Truly an amazing, warm team from the front desk to the stylist chair. Rachel was incredible- heard me and advised me throughout. The result? The best haircut I've had in years. Getting compliments left, right, and center. Happy to have found "my place" in Norwich, finally!

Rachel is an absolute delight. She’s friendly, welcoming and is an excellent hairdresser in that she always listens carefully to any request. I trust her judgement and am happy to agree with her suggestions. She never makes me feel silly to ask a question. Her confidence has clearly grown immensely through the time I’ve been going to see her and she’s absolutely blossomed. She’s relaxed and chats which is lovely. Lovely, smart, client-friendly new salon environment with competitive prices, charming staff and first class hair stylists ( i.e. Alex) ....what more is there? Its central to the city, a five minute walk from a free car park and they include tea or coffee as part of the service. This is easily the best of a couple of dozen hairdressers in and around Norwich I've sampled in the last eight years.
I have been going to Flint for many years and have never been disappointed. My hair is the best it's been in my life and they also all intuitively know whether you want to natter or just be quiet. Cannot recommend highly enough.

She’s so lovely and gets my hair perfect every time, whilst making sure I’m happy with what she’s doing through every step. Talor is absolutely amazing, as always… and I’m so very happy with my hair! However I’m really a bit disappointed that I didn't have my next appointment booked in, I always have my hair coloured every 7 weeks and usually book 2 apps. ahead where possible. Not sure what happened this time, but I feel gutted as it’s just before I’m away on holiday. I’m on the reserve list but that doesn’t normally work out in my experience so far, therefore, for the first time in many years I will be trying another salon in 7 weeks.

We’ve been coming to Flint since 2011, shortly after it opened, and have followed it around Norwich to its third and current location. That says a lot about how very good all the team members are.
